Tips On Renting Out Your Timeshare

If you are a timeshare owner and are considering rent out your designated time it is first important to find out if the resort management office if timeshare renting is allowed. (We can provide you with this information for properties which we have listed).

If the property allows rentals, then your next steps would be to do some research. Ask for a copy of the resort rules on timeshare rentals to make sure you don't violate any policies.

Calculate your rental rate and keep in mind all the timeshare fees that you pay when setting a price. But be careful not price your unit too high or too low. Use price information from similarly sized units (with similar features to yours).

Lastly, make sure you have a rental agreement noting all of the terms of the rental, including rental rate and the date when rent is due. But also be sure to check Hawaii state laws if you are not sure about the legality of any of your terms.
